AboutSOLA
SOLA was founded on a simple observation: the best technical work happens when there is a direct relationship between the person building and the person paying. No account managers. No handoffs. No layers between the decision and the work.
Before SOLA, its founder spent years inside large-scale engineering, including work at Meta as an AI engineer, building and evaluating the kind of systems most consultancies only write proposals about. That experience shapes everything here: how systems are architected, how they are tested, and how they are handed over.
The work centres on the systems a family office actually runs on. Consolidated views of wealth held across banks, property, and private equity. Engines that source and screen investments against the family's own criteria. Automation that reads the documents and drafts the reporting. Private tools for the principal, the family, and the people around them. All of it built on infrastructure the client controls, seen by no one who should not see it.
We have never relied on marketing in the conventional sense. The reputation that matters is built through the organisations we work with and the standard of what is delivered, which is, we think, the only reputation worth having.
Every engagement is taken on the same terms: understand the problem properly, architect it once, build it to last, and remain available long after delivery. An extra week is a fair price for something that holds up under pressure.
We work with a small number of clients at any one time. Some engagements run for a few weeks; some run for years. New work is taken on carefully, and only where there is a genuine alignment of standards and expectations on both sides.
If you are reading this, you probably already know what you need. A conversation is the quickest way to find out whether we are the right people to build it.
